Samer Halawa

Chief Legal Counsel

As Mubadala’s Chief Legal Counsel, Samer has responsibility for the company’s legal affairs and operations worldwide, company secretarial matters and corporate governance and compliance programs.

Samer is also a member of Mubadala’s Investment Committee. The committee is mandated to develop the organization’s investment policies, establish investment guidelines and review all proposed projects and investments to ensure they are in line with Mubadala’s business objectives.

Before joining Mubadala, Samer practiced law in Dubai, during which time he headed the Corporate and Commercial Law practice of Habib Al Mulla & Co., a well established Dubai law firm. Samer practices a wide variety of international and local corporate and commercial law, specialising in cross-border M&A transactions.

A member of the Jordanian Bar Association, he holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Jordan.
