Habiba (Block 62)
Our most recent energy project in Oman is Habiba Block 62, a 2,200 sq. km site in North Oman that was made possible through an Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement signed with the Sultanate’s Ministry of Oil & Gas, Oman Oil Company and Occidental Oman Gas Company.
The project, in which we hold a 32 percent interest, is unique in that it involves a number of possible outcomes, including the development of the Maradi Huraymah gas field, where production is expected to start in late 2012 or early 2013,
appraisal of three other gas discoveries, and shallow and deep exploration potential.
