Tanqia, in which we hold a 30 percent stake, is the first and only privately-held wastewater collection and treatment system in the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East. The wastewater treatment system has been uniquely designed to maximize efficiency and to minimize its environmental footprint.
Using cutting-edge technology, Tanqia is making a significant environmental contribution, generating high-quality effluent to replace valuable groundwater in irrigation and industrial activities. It is also contributing to the creation of superior and groundbreaking waste management solutions for the city of Fujairah, in the United Arab Emirates.
There are ambitious plans to extend this innovative model throughout the Emirate and overseas.
