UAE University
The UAE University is the oldest, and largest, higher education institution in the United Arab Emirates, and is recognized by international education boards as a center of education excellence.
Stage 1 of the UAE University New Campus Public Private Partnership (PPP) project in Al Ain, about two hours’ drive from Abu Dhabi, was completed in mid-2009. It is the world’s largest single-education PPP initiative.
This project, which represents a 100 percent Mubadala investment, will act as a benchmark for the development of future social infrastructure and PPP projects in the United Arab Emirates and the wider region.
The new campus, which is scheduled for completion in 2013, will feature approximately 290,000m² of newly built, state-of-the-art teaching and recreational facilities, including accommodation for students and university staff.
